Fall of Lucifer

Fall of Lucifer
24X36

The story of Lucifer's fall is often associated with the concept of pride and rebellion against God. It is commonly believed that Lucifer was originally a powerful and beautiful angel in heaven. However, his pride and desire to be equal to or surpass God led to his rebellion. This rebellion resulted in Lucifer being cast out of heaven and becoming known as Satan or the Devil. The iblical passage associated with this fall is from Isaiah, which includes the famous lines "How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn!"

St. Michael the Archangel is often depicted as a warrior and protector against evil forces. In the Book of Revelation there is a reference to a cosmic battle between Michael and his angels against the dragon (Satan) and his followers. Michael and his angels prevail, and Satan is cast out of heaven.
