This painting represents Galveston beach with a somewhat expressionist feel. I've left the scene devoid of any signs of life to focus the viewers attention on the continuum as the sand slides below the Gulf of Mexico which then bows to the infinite sky above. I no longer live in Galveston, but when I see this painting drying in my garage I can smell the humid salty breeze and hear the ever-present sound of the surf.
