The series begins with Transitions, which depicts a dark tunnel with a light at the end and two hands reaching out to the viewer. This is a very common image described by survivors of a near death experience. Iâve used this image to represent the sometimes painful transitions that we encounter throughout our lives such as conception, birth, illness, despair and ultimately death.
While we always turn away from the transitions through fear of pain and the unknown, we are comforted by the guidance we receive.
